Here are a few things I've done to spruce up the house. With a little sewing and imagination, you can do them too! They're an easy and fun way to give yourself a one of a kind room using your own design!

Sara's Faux Quilt Rug

sara with paints
Our hardwood floor was badly scratched and needed
refinishing.  My parents bought me $90.00 worth of special floor
paint!

sara measuring
I measured out the damaged area and set out special painting
tape making up the shapes to match our sofa's decor

sara taping off
It isn't easy....it doesn't look that pretty but I am not
discouraged!

filling in with paint
Wow!  Now Ive got to fill in the blank places with Black
paint...almost there!

Now that I'm finished, Maddie, my Yorkie mix and I can chill out and enjoy!

More Home Decor!

Curtains
curtains
Curtains for the kitchen and family room....they match the couches! Making them myself was fun and helped save Mom and Dad some money!

Seat Covers
seat covers
Seat covers for the casual dining chairs. They had been stained after a lot of use. My Mom was really happy that I was able to save what would normally be throw out by whipping up these great covers!

Valance
I redecorated to help save Mom some money, and go for a retro 1950's look!
valance
A valance above the window. Check out how my redecorating compliments Dad's 1950's juke box! It actually works! I love listening to the oldies, and learning how to "bop!"

Valentine's Day Linens
valentine's day linens
A Valentine's Day themed set of linens! I helped make these for a fundraiser with our church mother Laverne Edwards. I hope we get lots of orders!
